how to effectively create images during your travels with your DSLR Camera that are not only dramatic but tell the story of your experiences with style. Through a combination of slide presentations, portfolio sharing, location shooting and discussion, we explore the technical, conceptual, motivational, emotional aspects of travel photography. We begin by sharing stories and photographs from our former travels and follow to look closely at the work of photographers whose focus is traveling to different regions of the world and investigate differences in style, subject, time of the day, and weather. This workshop will cover the importance of equipment, the usage of natural light, alternative shooting methods and techniques, bad weather tips, and how to expose your travel images with a bigger audience. After meeting in the classroom, students will spend an hour in downtown highlands, treating the town as if we were there for the first time.
